How Do I Adjust Hue and Saturation in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 2:42 pm

Hue and saturation are two important aspects of color correction in Photoshop. Saturation is the intensity of a color, while hue is the shade of a color. To adjust both hue and saturation, you’ll need to use the Hue/Saturation tool.

To access the Hue/Saturation tool, go to your toolbar and click on the “Hue/Saturation” icon. It looks like a color wheel.

Once you have the Hue/Saturation tool open, you can adjust the hue by clicking and dragging the “Hue” slider. To adjust saturation, click and drag the “Saturation” slider. You can also adjust lightness by clicking and dragging the “Lightness” slider.

To Target specific colors, click on the “Colorize” checkbox. This will allow you to click on a color in your image and change its hue.

Remember, when adjusting hue and saturation, it’s important to keep your changes subtle. A little goes a long way!

PRO TIP: Please be aware that adjusting Hue and Saturation in Photoshop can result in some unexpected changes to your image if you are not familiar with the tool. We advise that you take some time to familiarize yourself with the tool and its capabilities before making any adjustments.

The Hue/Saturation tool is a great way to adjust the colors in your photos. By Targeting specific colors, you can make your photos pop with vibrance and life. And by keeping your changes subtle, you can avoid over-saturating your photos.
