When you’re working with images in Photoshop, you may need to crop them to remove unwanted portions or to focus on a particular area. Cropping an image is a fairly simple process: you just select the area you want to keep and then remove the rest.

To crop an image in Photoshop, open the image you want to crop in the program. Then, click on the “Crop Tool” icon in the toolbar or press the letter “C” on your keyboard. This will activate the Crop Tool.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, please do not attempt to crop an embedded image. This can result in loss of image quality and/or data.

Next, click and drag on the image to select the area you want to keep. As you drag, you’ll see a border appear around the selected area. When you’re happy with your selection, release the mouse button.

Finally, press the Enter or Return key on your keyboard to confirm the crop. The excess portion of the image will be removed and only the selected area will remain.

Cropping an image in Photoshop is a quick and easy way to remove unwanted portions of an image or to focus on a particular area. By following the steps above, you can easily crop any image in Photoshop.
