Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 2:49 pm

There are a few different ways that you can go about making a digital collage in Photoshop. One way is to use the “Layer” function.

With this method, you will first need to create separate images for each layer of your collage. Once you have your separate images, you can then open Photoshop and select the “Layer” function from the menu.

Now that you have selected the “Layer” function, you will need to click on the “Create New Layer” icon which is located at the bottom of the “Layers” panel.

Once you have clicked on the “Create New Layer” icon, a new window will pop up. In this new window, you will need to select the image that you want to use for that particular layer. After you have selected your image, click on the “Open” button.

Your image will now appear as its own layer in the “Layers” panel. You can now repeat this process for each layer of your collage.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that there are many tutorials online for creating digital collages in Photoshop, but not all of them are created equally. Some may require you to purchase additional software or plugins, while others may have outdated information. We recommend doing your research before following any tutorial, to ensure that it is the right fit for your needs and skill level.

Once you have all of your layers created, you can then begin to position them how you want them to appear in your final collage. To do this, simply click on the layer that you want to move and then use your mouse to drag it into place.

You can also change the opacity of each layer by clicking on the “Opacity” option in the “Layers” panel. This can be helpful if you want certain layers to be more visible than others.

Once you have all of your layers positioned and sized how you want them, you can then merge them all together into one final image by clicking on the “Merge Layers” icon at the top of the “Layers” panel.

Another way that you can create a digital collage in Photoshop is by using the “Clipping Mask” function. This method is similar to the first one in that you will still need to create separate images for each layer of your collage. However, instead of using the “Layer” function, you will use the “Clipping Mask” function.

To do this, first create your separate images and then open Photoshop. Once Photoshop is open, select the “ Clipping Mask” function from the menu.

Now that you have selected the “Clipping Mask” function, click on the “Create New Clip Group” icon which is located at the bottom of the “Layers” panel. A new window will pop up and in this window, select all of the images that you want to use for your collage and click on the Open’ button. Your images will now appear as their own layer in
