There are a few different ways to overlay an image in a shape in Photoshop. One way is to use the “Clipping Mask” function.
With your layer containing the image that you want to use as the top layer, select “Layer” > “Create Clipping Mask”.
Your image will now be clipped to the shape of the layer below it.
If you want more control over how the image is clipped, you can use the “Pen Tool” to draw a path around the area where you want the image to appear.
With your image layer selected, click on the “Pen Tool” icon in the toolbar and then click and drag around the area you want to clip the image to.
When you release the mouse button, a path will be created.
Right-click on the path and select “Make Selection” from the menu that appears. Now go to “Select” > “Inverse” and press “Delete” on your keyboard. This will remove everything from your image outside of the path you created, giving you a perfect clipping mask.
If you want to add some text to your image, you can use the “Text Tool” to create a new text layer. Type out your text and then position it where you want it on your image. You can change the font, color, and size of your text using the options in the “Text Options” toolbar that appears when you have a text layer selected.
To give your text a more unique look, you can add a stroke or drop shadow effect. With your text layer selected, go to “Layer” > “Layer Style” and choose from one of the options under “Stroke” or “Drop Shadow”. You can adjust the settings for each effect to get just the right look.
Once you have everything how you want it, you can save your image as a .png file so that it can be used on websites or shared online without losing any quality.
