If you want to put one image on top of another in Photoshop, there are a few different ways to do it. You can use the ‘Layer’ function, or you can ‘Copy and Paste’ one image into another.
If you use the ‘Layer’ function, you will need to open both images in Photoshop. Then, select the image that you want to be on top, and click ‘Layer’ > ‘New’ > ‘Layer’ from the top menu bar. A new layer will appear in the Layers panel.
Now, select the ‘Move Tool’ from the left toolbar. Then, click on the image and drag it over to the other image. You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to nudge the image into place.
If you want to change the opacity of the top image, go to the Layers panel and click on the layer that has your top image. Then, use the slider at the top of the panel to adjust the opacity.
If you want to ‘Copy and Paste’ one image into another, open both images in Photoshop. Then, select the entire layer of the image that you want to copy by pressing ‘Ctrl + A’ (PC) or ‘Command + A’ (Mac).
Next, press ‘Ctrl + C’ (PC) or ‘Command + C’ (Mac) to copy it. Then, go to the other image and press ‘Ctrl + V’ (PC) or ‘Command + V’ (Mac) to paste it. The copied image will appear as a new layer.
You can also use this method to add an image as a watermark. First, make sure your watermark is saved as a PNG file with a transparent background. Then, open your watermark and your main image in Photoshop.
Next, drag your watermark over to your main image. Resize it if necessary by selecting ‘Edit’ > ‘Free Transform’ from the top menu bar. When you’re happy with its size and position, double-click inside the box around your watermark layer to apply the changes.
Finally, go to ‘Layer’ > ‘New Adjustment Layer’ > ‘Clipping Mask’ from the top menu bar. This will make sure that your watermark is only visible on your main image and not on any other layers beneath it.
