The Refine Edge tool in Photoshop CC is used to create selections with soft or feathered edges. This tool can be used to select objects with complex shapes, such as hair or fur.

It’s also useful for isolating images from their backgrounds. The Refine Edge tool is found in the Select menu, under the Refine Selection option.
