DNG is the open standard format for raw files created by Adobe. Photoshop can open and work with DNG files, as well as convert other raw file formats to DNG.

DNG, or Digital Negative, is a file format developed by Adobe for use with digital cameras. The format is based on the TIFF/EP standard, and is designed to provide a common format for storing raw image data from digital cameras. DNG is an openly published format, and Adobe provides free software for converting images to and from the DNG format.

Photoshop can open and work with DNG files directly, as well as convert other raw file formats to DNG. Adobe provides free software for converting images to and from the DNG format. This software, called Adobe DNG Converter, is available for both Windows and Mac OS. The converter allows you to convert multiple files at once, and provides options for handling various types of raw files.
