Assuming you have a basic understanding of Photoshop, let’s start with a refresher on pixels. Pixels are the tiny dots that make up an image on a screen. When it comes to creating 8-bit images, each pixel needs to be a different color.
The more colors you have, the more detailed your image will be. However, if you have too many colors, your image will start to look blurry. That’s why it’s important to find the right balance.
Now that we’ve covered pixels, let’s talk about bitmap and vector images. Bitmap images are made up of pixels, like we just discussed.
Vector images, on the other hand, are made up of mathematical formulas. Vector images are usually used for logos or illustrations because they can be scaled up or down without losing any quality.
So how do you create an 8-bit image in Photoshop? First, open up a new document and set the width and height to whatever size you want your image to be. Then, go to the “Image” menu and select “Mode.” From there, select “Indexed Color.”
A new window will pop up asking you how many colors you want to use. For an 8-bit image, select “256. ”
Once you’ve selected 256 colors, another window will pop up asking you about dithering. Dithering is when Photoshop combines two or more colors to create a new color.
This is usually done to create smoother transitions between colors. For an 8-bit image, select “None. ”

Next, we need to set the background color of our document. To do this, go to the “Edit” menu and select “Fill.”
A new window will pop up asking you what color you want to use for your background. For this tutorial, we’ll be using white.
3.Create Your Image
Now it’s time to start creating your 8-bit image! You can use any tools and techniques you want for this part.
4.Add Some Text
Once you’re happy with your image, it’s time to add some text. To do this, go to the “Type” menu and select “Type Layer.” A new window will pop up asking you what text you want to use.
