Are There Spam on Fiverr?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:25 am

There’s no doubt that Fiverr is a great place to find services to outsource. But is it also a great place to find spam?

In short, yes. There are definitely spammy gigs on Fiverr. But that doesn’t mean that the whole platform is full of scammers and low-quality services.

There are two main types of spam on Fiverr: gigs that are low-quality and/or scams, and sellers who spam your inbox with messages after you’ve purchase their gig.

PRO TIP: There are many scammers on Fiverr who will try to spam you. Be careful of who you talk to and what information you give them. Do not give out your personal information or credit card information to anyone on Fiverr.

As far as low-quality and/or scammy gigs go, there are definitely some out there. But again, this doesn’t mean that the whole platform is full of them. You just need to be careful when choosing which gigs to purchase.

If you’re worried about sellers spamming your inbox after you’ve purchased their gig, you can always set up a separate email account just for Fiverr. That way, if you do get spammed, you won’t have to worry about it cluttering up your main inbox.

So, while there is definitely some spam on Fiverr, it’s not enough to outweigh the platform’s many benefits. Just be careful when choosing which sellers to work with, and you should be fine.
