There are two ways to add fonts to your Squarespace website: by using the Font Picker in the Style Editor, or by adding CSS code directly to your site.
Both methods are quick and easy, but there are a few things to keep in mind when choosing which method to use. If you’re not sure which method to use, we recommend starting with the Font Picker.
Method 1: Using the Font Picker
The Font Picker is the easiest way to add fonts to your Squarespace site. To use the Font Picker, just go to Design > Style Editor.
Then, scroll down to the Typography section and click on the Fonts tab. From here, you can select any of the fonts that are available in the Font Picker.
Pros:
- The Font Picker is very easy to use.
- You can preview how your text will look with the different fonts before you select one.
Cons:
- There are only a limited number of fonts available in the Font Picker.
Method 2: Adding CSS code
If you want more control over the fonts on your Squarespace site, you can add CSS code directly to your site. This method gives you access to all of the Google Fonts, as well as a few other font libraries. To add CSS code to your site, go to Settings> (advanced)> >Code Injection.
Pros:
- You have a much wider selection of fonts to choose from.
- You can preview how your text will look with different fonts before you select one.
- You need some knowledge of CSS code in order to add fonts using this method.
