Can I Export a GIF From Figma?

Yes, you can export a GIF from Figma. To do this, simply select the frame you want to export as a GIF in the timeline and click on the “Export” button in the top bar. Or you can go to Figma “File” menu.

In the Export window that pops up, select “GIF” as the file format and choose your desired settings. Once you click “Export“, your GIF will be saved to your computer.

If for some reason, the “GIF” format isn’t available in the export dialog box menu, you can use a Figma Plugin such as “Export GIFs” as an alternative. Simply run the plugin and you can instantly export your GIFs.

There are many reasons why you might want to export a GIF from Figma. Maybe you’re working on a web project and want to add an animated element, or perhaps you’re making a presentation and need to include a short clip. Whatever the reason, Figma makes it easy to export your work as a GIF.

When exporting a GIF from Figma, you have a few different options to choose from. First, you can select which frame or frames you want to export.

If you only want to export a single frame, simply click on that frame in the timeline. If you want to export multiple frames, you can either click and drag to select multiple frames or hold down the Shift key while clicking on each frame you want to include.

Once you’ve selected the frame or frames you want to export, click on the “Export” button in the top bar. This will open up the Export window, where you can choose your file format (GIF), resolution, and other settings. When you’re happy with your settings, click “Export” and your GIF will be saved to your computer.
