Can I Migrate My Domain to Wix?

Wix is a popular website builder that allows users to create stunning websites with ease. One of the great things about Wix is that it makes it easy to migrate your domain to their platform. In this article, we’ll show you how to migrate your domain to Wix in just a few simple steps.

If you’re currently using another platform to host your website, the first step is to transfer your domain name to Wix. You can do this by following these instructions:

  1. Log in to your Wix account.
  2. Click on the ‘Domains’ tab.
  3. Click on the ‘Transfer Domain’ button.
  4. Enter your domain name and click ‘Search’.
  5. Follow the instructions provided by Wix to complete the transfer process.

Once your domain is transferred over to Wix, you’ll need to point your DNS records to Wix’s servers. You can do this by following these instructions:

  1. Log in to your Wix account.
  2. Click on the ‘Domains’ tab.
  3. Click on the ‘Manage Domain’ button next to your domain name.
PRO TIP: If you are considering migrating your domain to Wix, please be aware that there are some potential risks involved. Wix is a relatively new platform and as such, there are still some kinks that need to be worked out. Additionally, Wix has been known to be less reliable than other, more established platforms.
  1. Click on the ‘DNS Settings’ tab.
  2. Click on the ‘Advanced Settings’ link.
  3. Replace any existing A records with the following values:
  • 216.185.152.155
  • 216.153.155
  1. Replace any existing CNAME records with the following values:
  • www2.wixdns.net
  1. Delete any other records that are not listed above.
  2. Click on the ‘ Save changes’ button.
  3. Once you’ve completed these steps, your domain will be successfully migrated over to Wix!
