If you’re wondering whether you can put an index in a folder on Squarespace, the answer is yes!

PRO TIP: While it is possible to create an index in a folder on Squarespace, it is not recommended as it can cause problems with the site’s organization and navigation. Additionally, search engines may have difficulty indexing the content of the site if it is organized in this way.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Log in to your Squarespace account and go to the page where you want to add the index.
  2. Click on the “Add block” button, which is located in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
  3. Scroll down until you see the “Index” block and click on it.
  4. A new window will pop up. In the “Index Label” field, type in the name of the folder that you want to use as your index. For example, if you’re creating an index of blog posts, you might label it “Blog.

  5. Click on the “Add” button and then click on the “Save & Close” button.

That’s all there is to it! Now when you go to that page, you’ll see an index of all the items in that folder. You can use the index to navigate to any of those items quickly and easily.
