Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 7:18 pm

In this article, we are going to discuss different methods that can be used to resize all artboards in Illustrator. Some of these methods are simple and easy to use, while others might require a bit more work.

However, all of them can be helpful in achieving the desired result.

Method One: Use the Selection Tool (V)

One way to resize all the artboards in a document is to use the Selection Tool (V). Once you have selected all the artboards, use the Command (Ctrl) key and click and drag the handles of the Selection Tool to resize the artboards.

Note: If you want to retain the aspect ratio of the artboards, you will need to keep the Command (Ctrl) key pressed while you resize them.

Method Two: Use the Formatting Panel

Another way to resize all the artboards in a document is to use the Formatting Panel. First, ensure that the artboards are selected by clicking on the artboard borders.

Then, use the text fields in the Formatting Panel to enter the desired width and height values for each artboard.

Note: You can also use the Formatting Panel to change the font size, color, and other properties of the artboards.

PRO TIP: If you attempt to resize all Artboards in Illustrator at once, you may experience unexpected results and/or unwanted changes to your project. Use caution when performing this action.

Method Three: Use the Object Panel

Another way to resize all the artboards in a document is to use the Object Panel. First, select the artboard that you want to resize.

Then, use the Object Panel to click on the Artboard Size button.

Note: The Artboard Size button is located in the lower-left corner of the Object Panel.

Finally, use the slider to enter the desired width and height values for the artboard.

Note: You can also use the Object Panel to change the font size, color, and other properties of the artboard.

The final outcome of all three methods will be the same – all the artboards in the document will be resized to the desired width and height values.

However, there are a few things to keep in mind when using these methods. First, be sure to use the correct width and height values for the artboard.

Second, be sure to keep the Command (Ctrl) key pressed while you are resizing the artboards. Finally, be sure to save your document before you finish resizing the artboards.
