If you’re not happy with Wix, you can absolutely transfer your domain away! The process is actually quite simple and can be done in just a few steps.

First, you’ll need to log into your Wix account and go to the Domains tab. From there, you’ll need to find the domain that you want to transfer and click on the three dots next to it. A drop-down menu will appear and from there, you’ll select Transfer Domain.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about transferring your domain away from Wix, be warned that doing so may be difficult. Wix may make it hard for you to transfer your domain by:

A pop-up will then appear asking if you’re sure you want to transfer your domain. You’ll need to click Yes, I’m Sure. After that, you’ll see a list of instructions that you’ll need to follow in order to initiate the transfer.

It’s important to note that there is a fee associated with transferring your domain away from Wix. The fee is $20 and will be charged to your credit card on file. Additionally, your domain will be locked for 60 days after the transfer is initiated, which means that you won’t be able to make any changes to it during that time.
