Yes, you can transfer your Squarespace domain to another registrar. To do so, you’ll need to unlock your domain from Squarespace and get an authorization (EPP) code from us.
Once you have both of those, you can initiate the transfer with your new registrar.
Before you begin the transfer process, we recommend checking if your domain is eligible. If your domain was registered or transferred to Squarespace within the last 60 days, it isn’t eligible for transfer away from Squarespace.
Additionally, some top-level domains (TLDs) can’t be transferred away from their original registrar. For example, .biz domains must stay with their original registrar per ICANN policy.
If your domain is eligible for transfer, follow these steps:
1. Unlock your domain. In the Home Menu, click Settings, then click Domains. Next to the relevant domain, click … (ellipses), then click Transfer Domain Away. A pop-up appears with information about the next steps. 2. Get an authorization code (EPP). In the Home Menu, click Settings, then click Billing & Account. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Get Authorisation Code. A pop-up appears with your code.
You’ll need this code to initiate the transfer with your new registrar. 3. Begin the transfer process with your new registrar. They’ll walk you through transferring your domain away from Squarespace. Be sure to have your EPP code handy when you start this process. 4. After you’ve initiated the transfer with your new registrar, we’ll send you an email asking you to confirm that you requested the transfer. If we don’t receive confirmation from you within five days, we’ll cancel the transfer request and lock your domain again. 5. Once we receive confirmation from you, we’ll unlock your domain and send the EPP code to your new registrar. The whole process usually takes five to seven days total, but times may vary depending on your registrar.

First, if your domain is currently registered with Squarespace, you will need to initiate the transfer process with your new provider. This can be a bit of a hassle, and may require some technical knowledge.
Second, once your domain is transferred, any email accounts associated with it will also be transferred. This means that any email messages stored on the Squarespace servers will no longer be accessible.
Finally, keep in mind thatSquarespace may charge a transfer fee. Be sure to check with both your current and new providers to see if this is the case.
