Can I Use Gmail for UpWork?

You can absolutely use Gmail for UpWork! In fact, we recommend it.

First, Gmail is a free service, which means that it is subject to Google’s terms of service. This can include things like data mining and ads being served based on your email content. Additionally, Gmail’s security features are not as robust as some paid email services, so your account could be more vulnerable to hacking. Finally, if you ever need to switch to a different email service, it can be difficult to migrate your Gmail account over.

Once you have a Gmail account set up, you can add your UpWork email address to it so that you can start receiving and sending messages from UpWork in your Gmail inbox. To do this, just go to your UpWork settings and click on the “Email Accounts” tab. From there, you’ll be able to add your UpWork email address to your Gmail account.
