Can Logo Be Made in Photoshop?

Sure, you can make a logo in Photoshop- but should you? As someone who’s logo-making software of choice is Illustrator, I’m a bit biased. But I’ve got some reasons why I think you might want to consider using Illustrator over Photoshop for your next logo design project.

For starters, when it comes to vector illustrations, Illustrator is king. Sure, Photoshop has some vector capabilities, but they pale in comparison to what Illustrator can do. If you want complete control over your logo design and the ability to easily scale it up or down without losing any quality, then Illustrator is the way to go.

Another advantage of using Illustrator for your logo design is that it gives you more control over your type. Again, Photoshop has some great type features these days, but with Illustrator you have a lot more control over kerning, tracking, and other typographic details. This can be a big help when trying to create a well-balanced and easy-to-read logo.

In conclusion, while you can make a logo in Photoshop, there are some definite advantages to using Illustrator instead. If you want complete control over your design and the ability to easily scale it up or down without losing any quality, then Illustrator is the way to go.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that creating a logo in Photoshop is not recommended. logos should be created in a vector program such as Illustrator to ensure the best quality and result.
