Can We Use Figma on Phone?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 11:30 pm

We use Figma on our phones every day to design and prototype for mobile apps. But can we use Figma on our phones to actually design and prototype those apps?

The short answer is yes – Figma is a great tool for designing and prototyping mobile apps. However, there are some things to keep in mind when using Figma on your phone.

First, it’s important to understand that Figma is not a traditional design tool like Photoshop or Sketch. Rather, Figma is a vector-based design tool that is built for the web. This means that Figma is not as well suited for traditional pixel-based design workflows.

PRO TIP: Figma is a vector-based design tool that is primarily used on the web. While it is possible to use Figma on your phone, it is not designed for that purpose and you may not have the same level of control or functionality as you would on a desktop or laptop computer.

Second, because Figma is built for the web, it can be a bit challenging to use on a small screen. The interface is not as intuitive as it could be, and it can be difficult to select the right elements when you’re working on a small screen.

Finally, it’s worth noting that there are some limitations to what you can do with Figma on your phone. For example, you cannot export designs as PNGs or JPGs, and you cannot create animations or interactivity in your prototypes.

Despite these limitations, Figma is still a great tool for designing and prototyping mobile apps. If you’re looking for an alternative to traditional design tools like Photoshop or Sketch, give Figma a try.
