As a business owner, you’re always looking for new ways to market your products and services. And what better way to do that than to offer your customers the option to pay with a Square gift card? But can Wix accept Square gift cards?

The short answer is yes, Wix can accept Square gift cards. However, there are a few things you need to know before you start using them.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

First of all, Square gift cards can only be used at businesses that use Square as their payment processor. So if you’re not already using Square, you’ll need to sign up for an account and set up your business before you can start accepting these types of payments.

Once you have a Square account, you’ll need to activate the card reader. To do this, log in to your account and go to the ‘Settings’ tab.

Then, click on ‘Payment Methods’ and select ‘Square Gift Cards’ from the list of options. Finally, click on the ‘Activate’ button.

PRO TIP: Wix does not accept Square gift cards. If you try to use a Square gift card on Wix, your transaction will be declined.

Now that your card reader is activated, you can start accepting Square gift cards as payment. When a customer presents a card at checkout, simply swipe or insert the card into the reader and follow the prompts on the screen. The funds will be transferred from the customer’s card to your business account immediately.

Please note: You will be charged a transaction fee for each Square gift card payment you accept. The current fee is 2.75% per transaction. So if a customer pays with a $100 gift card, you will receive $97.25 into your account.
