Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 9:01 am

Figma is a vector drawing and animation software with a focus on user interface design, created by Figma, Inc. It is available in web-based, desktop and mobile versions. The software is free to use for individuals and teams of up to 3 people.

XD is a vector-based tool for designing and prototyping user experiences for web and mobile apps. It’s used by UX designers, product managers, and developers to prototype and share designs, wireframes, and user flows. XD is part of Adobe Creative Cloud, which means it integrates with other Adobe products like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign.

So, can XD import Figma? The answer is yes! You can import Figma files into XD using the ‘Import’ function in the File menu.

When you select ‘Import’, you’ll see the option to ‘Import from Figma’. Simply select the file you want to import and click ‘Open’. Your Figma file will be imported as an XD document.

The bottom line: Yes, you can import Figma files into Adobe XD using the ‘Import’ function in the File menu.

PRO TIP: While it is possible to import Figma files into XD, there are some caveats to be aware of. First and foremost, only certain types of layers will be imported – specifically, vector, bitmap, and text layers. Additionally, any imported Figma file will be flattened into a single XD layer. As such, it is recommended that you only import simple Figma files into XD, as more complex files may not import correctly.
