Adding Plugins to Photoshop Elements

One of the great things about Photoshop Elements is its extensibility. You can add all sorts of plugins to help you get more out of the software. In this article, we’ll show you how to add plugins to Photoshop Elements.

There are two types of plugins that you can add to Photoshop Elements: general plugins and special effects plugins. General plugins extend the functionality of the software, while special effects plugins add new effects that you can apply to your images.

To install a plugin, first download it from the internet. Once it has been downloaded, unzip the file and copy it to the following directory:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 11\Plug-Ins

Once the plugin has been copied to the Plug-Ins folder, it will be available the next time you start Photoshop Elements.

PRO TIP: Adding plugins to Photoshop Elements is not recommended as it can cause the program to crash.

Special Effects Plugins

As well as general plugins, there are also special effects plugins available for Photoshop Elements. These plugins add new effects that you can apply to your images.

To install a special effects plugin, first download it from the internet. Once it has been downloaded, unzip the file and copy it to the following directory:


C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 11\Plug-Ins\Effects

Once the plugin has been copied to the Effects folder, it will be available the next time you start Photoshop Elements.
