Can You Check Spelling in Figma?

Last updated on November 26, 2022 @ 11:13 am

As a design tool, Figma is incredibly versatile. Not only can you create detailed designs and prototypes, but you can also check spelling and style text using HTML tags.

When it comes to spelling, Figma has a few different options that you can use. First, there is the default spell checker which will underline any words that are spelt incorrectly. You can also add a custom dictionary to Figma, which is great for words that aren’t in the default dictionary (such as brand names).

If you want to style your text using HTML tags, Figma makes it easy to do so. Simply select the text you want to style and then click the ‘<>‘ button in the toolbar. This will open up the HTML editor where you can add tags such as ‘< p >‘ or ‘< b >‘.

So, can you check spelling in Figma? Yes, you can!

And it’s easy to do so using either the default spell checker or by adding a custom dictionary. You can also style text using HTML tags, which is great for making your designs look even more polished and professional.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that Figma does not currently have a spell check feature. This means that you will need to proofread your work carefully before sharing it with others.
