You can connect a domain to Weebly for free as long as you have a domain name from a supported domain registrar. To get started, log in to your Weebly account and go to the Domains tab.
Then, click the Connect Domain button and enter your domain name. After that, you’ll be taken to a page where you can set up your DNS records.
Weebly supports two types of DNS records: A records and CNAME records. A records are used to point a domain name to an IP address, while CNAME records are used to point a subdomain to another subdomain. To connect your domain to Weebly, you’ll need to set up an A record and a CNAME record.
The first step is to log in to your domain registrar’s account and go to the DNS management page. From there, you’ll need to add two DNS records: an A record and a CNAME record.
For the A record, you’ll need to enter the following information:
Hostname: Enter @ or leave blank. TTL: Enter 14400 or leave blank.
Record Type: Select A from the drop-down menu. IP Address: Enter 199.34.228.100
For the CNAME record, you’ll need to enter the following information:
Hostname: Enter www or leave blank. Record Type: Select CNAME from the drop-down menu.
Alias: Enter @ or leave blank. Once you’ve added both DNS records, wait a few minutes for the changes to propagate, then go back to your Weebly account and click the Verify Domain button. If everything was set up correctly, your domain should now be connected to Weebly!
