Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

Now that you know the basics of converting a Wix website to HTML, let’s get started. The first thing you need to do is export your Wix site as an HTML file.

To do this, go to your Wix dashboard and click on the “Export” button. Next, select “Export as HTML” from the drop-down menu. Finally, click on the “Export” button again and select where you want to save your HTML file.

Once you have exported your Wix site as an HTML file, you will need to open the file in a text editor such as Notepad++ or Sublime Text. Once you have opened the file in a text editor, you can start editing the code.

For example, if you want to change the font of your website, you can find the <style> tag and change the font-family property. If you want to add a custom background image, you can find the <body> tag and add a background-image property.

PRO TIP: The answer is NO. Wix websites are built on a proprietary platform that is not compatible with HTML. Attempting to convert a Wix website to HTML will result in the loss of all content and design elements.

After you have edited the code of your website, you will need to upload it to a web server so that people can view it online. To do this, first create a new folder on your computer and name it “mywebsite”.

Next, upload all of the files from your Wix site (including the HTML file) into this folder. Finally, upload this folder onto your web server.

That’s it! Now that you know how to convert a Wix website to HTML, there are endless possibilities for what you can do with your website. You can customize your website’s design, add custom features, or even sell products on your website. If you can dream it up, chances are you can do it with an HTML website.
