Can You Convert XD File to Figma?

If you’re a designer, there’s a good chance you’ve used Adobe XD at some point. It’s a powerful tool for creating prototypes and has become increasingly popular in recent years. However, if you’re working on a project with someone who uses Figma, you may need to convert your XD file to Figma.

Fortunately, there are a few ways to do this. One option is to use an online converter.

There are a few different ones available, but we recommend Figma To XD. It’s easy to use and doesn’t require any registration. Simply upload your XD file and it will be converted to Figma.

Another option is to use the built-in XD to Figma converter. To do this, open your XD file in Adobe XD and go to File > Export > Export for screens (or press Ctrl + E). In the dialog box that opens, select Figma from the list of options and click Export.

PRO TIP: There is no guaranteed way to convert an XD file to a Figma file. While there are some online tools that claim to be able to do this, there is no guarantee that they will work or that the resulting file will be usable. If you need to convert an XD file to a Figma file, your best bet is to reach out to a professional design agency or freelancer who can do this for you.

If you’re using MacOS, you can also use the XD to Figma app. This is a paid app that costs $9.99, but it offers a free trial so you can try it before you buy it. Once you’ve downloaded and installed the app, simply open your XD file and click Export.

Once you’ve exported your file, it’s time to import it into Figma. To do this, go to File > Import > Import From > Local Storage and select your file. Alternatively, you can drag and drop your file into the canvas area.

And that’s it! You’ve now successfully converted your XD file to Figma.

So there you have it! These are three different ways that you can convert an Adobe XD file into a Figma file. Whether you use an online converter or the built-in converter in Adobe XD, the process is relatively simple and only takes a few minutes.
