There’s no denying that QR codes are becoming more and more popular. You see them everywhere, from product packaging to promotional materials and even on business cards. But what are QR codes, and how can you create one?
Put simply, a QR code is a type of barcode that can be read by a smartphone or other device with a camera. When scanned, the QR code can provide the device with information, such as a website URL or a phone number. QR codes can be created using a number of different online tools, including Canva.
Creating a QR code in Canva is easy and only takes a few minutes. To get started, sign up for a free account at Canva.com.
Once you’re logged in, click on the “Create a design” button and select “Use custom dimensions.” Enter the dimensions you want for your QR code (we recommend 250px x 250px) and click “Create new design. ”
Next, click on the “Elements” tab and select “Shapes.” Choose the “Rectangle” tool and draw a square on your design canvas.
Once you have your square, click on the “Uploads” tab and upload your QR code image. Drag and drop the image into your square.
Now, all that’s left to do is download your QR code image. To do this, click on the “Download” button in the top-right corner of the Canva editor and select your preferred file format (PNG or JPG).
And that’s it! You’ve now created your very own QR code.
