Audiograms are a type of graph that are used to measure an individual’s hearing ability. They are often used by audiologists and other hearing healthcare professionals to help diagnose and treat hearing loss. While there are many different ways to create an audiogram, Canva is a free online platform that makes it easy to create professional-looking audiograms.
There are a few different steps that you’ll need to follow in order to create an audiogram on Canva. First, you’ll need to create a new Canva account or log in to an existing one.
Once you’re logged in, click on the “Create a design” button and select the “Custom dimensions” option. In the next step, you’ll need to enter the width and height of your desired audiogram. For this tutorial, we’ll be using a width of 8.5 inches and a height of 11 inches.
Once you’ve selected your custom dimensions, you’ll be taken to Canva’s design interface. Here, you can choose from a variety of pre-made templates or start from scratch with a blank canvas. For this tutorial, we’ll be using a blank canvas.
Next, you’ll need to add text boxes for each of the frequencies that you want to include on your audiogram. For this example, we’ll be adding text boxes for 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz, 4000 Hz, and 8000 Hz.
To do this, simply click on the “Text” tool and then click and drag your cursor to create a text box. Once you’ve created a text box, enter the frequency that you want to display in it. Repeat this process for each of the frequencies that you want to include on your audiogram.
After you’ve added all of the necessary text boxes, it’s time to add the lines that will represent each person’s hearing threshold at each frequency. To do this, click on the “Shapes” tool and then select the “Line” option.
Next, click and drag your cursor across the canvas to draw a line. Once you’ve drawn your line, click on the “Line color” option and select the color that you want to use for that particular person’s hearing threshold line. Repeat this process for each person whose hearing thresholds you want to include on your audiogram.
Once you’ve added all of the necessary lines, it’s time to add the labels for each person’s name and their corresponding hearing thresholds. To do this, simply click on the “Text” tool and then click and drag your cursor to create a text box.
Once you’ve created a text box, enter the name of the person whose hearing thresholds you’re displaying in that particular box. After you’ve entered the name, click on the “Text color” option and select the color that you want to use for that particular person’s name label.
After you’ve added all of the labels, your audiogram is complete! You can now download it as a PDF or JPEG file or share it directly with others via email or social media.
