Can You Duplicate a Frame in Figma?

Figma is a vector-based design tool that allows designers to create illustrations, user interfaces, and other visual designs. One of the features that Figma offers is the ability to duplicate frames. This can be useful when you want to create multiple versions of a design or when you want to reuse a design element in another project.

To duplicate a frame in Figma, first select the frame that you want to duplicate. Then, click on the Duplicate button in the toolbar (it looks like two rectangles with plus signs in them). This will create a copy of the selected frame.

PRO TIP: If you are working on a design in Figma and need to duplicate a frame, be aware that any changes you make to the duplicated frame will also be applied to the original frame. This can be useful if you want to make global changes to your design, but can also be frustrating if you accidentally edit the wrong frame.

You can also duplicate frames by using the keyboard shortcut CTRL/CMD + D.

Once you have duplicated a frame, you can move it to another location on the canvas or even to another project. To move a duplicated frame, simply click and drag it to the desired location.

The ability to duplicate frames is a handy tool that can save you time when designing in Figma. Be sure to take advantage of this feature when working on your next project!
