Can You Export a Prototype in Figma?

If you’ve never exported a prototype before, the thought of doing so can be daunting. Where do you even start?

Figma is a great tool for prototyping because it offers so many ways to export your prototypes. In this article, we’ll show you how to export a prototype in Figma.

There are two ways to export a prototype in Figma:

PRO TIP: If you’re planning to export a prototype from Figma, be aware that there are some limitations to what you can export. For example, you can’t export animated prototypes or prototypes with certain interactions (such as scroll or swipe interactions).
  1. Export as an image
  2. Export as a PDF

To export your prototype as an image, simply go to File > Export. You can then choose the file type you want to export as (PNG, JPG, or SVG) and the dimensions of the image.

To export your prototype as a PDF, go to File > Export.

Then, select “PDF” from the dropdown menu and click “Export”. Your PDF will be generated and you can save it to your computer.
