Can You Have Two Domains on Squarespace?

There’s no limit to the number of domains you can have with Squarespace. You can either use our Domain Search tool to find and purchase a new domain, or transfer an existing domain to Squarespace. If you’re already using Squarespace, you can add a new domain from your Website Manager.

If you’re interested in using multiple domains for a single site, we recommend our Domain Mapping feature. This allows you to set a primary domain for your site, and then map additional domains (which we refer to as parked domains) to that site.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about using Squarespace to host more than one domain, beware! While Squarespace does allow you to map multiple domains to a single site, there are some serious limitations to be aware of.

First and foremost, Squarespace only allows you to map one primary domain per site. This means that if you want to use multiple domains with Squarespace, you’ll need to set up a separate site for each domain. This can quickly become expensive and complicated to manage.

Additionally, Squarespace does not offer any way to manage redirects between your domains. This means that if someone tries to access your site using a domain that is not mapped to your Squarespace site, they will simply see an error message. There is no way to redirect them to your primary domain automatically.

Finally, keep in mind that search engines may view your multiple domains as duplicate content. This could hurt your search engine rankings and visibility. So if you’re thinking about using Squarespace to host more than one domain, be sure to weigh all of these factors carefully before making your decision.

Mapped domains will display the content from your primary domain, but they’ll keep their own unique web address. This is a great way to secure common misspellings of your primary domain, or create short URLs that redirect to specific pages on your site. You can also use mapped domains to point visitors to different versions of your site that are Targeted to different countries or languages.
