If you’re running an ecommerce business, you know that reviews are important. They provide social proof that helps to convert visitors into customers, and they can also help improve your organic search rankings.
But what if you’re just getting started and don’t have any reviews yet? Or what if you’re thinking about switching platforms and want to bring your reviews with you?
Can you import Amazon reviews to Shopify? The short answer is yes, but it’s not quite as simple as just copying and pasting them over. In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps you need to take to import Amazon reviews into your Shopify store.
First, you’ll need to sign up for an Amazon Web Services (AWS) account. This will give you access to the Amazon Product Advertising API, which is what we’ll be using to get the reviews.
Once you have an AWS account, you’ll need to create a new access key. This will give you the ability to connect to the API and make requests.
To do this, log in to your AWS console and go to the Security Credentials page. Under the Access Keys section, click “Create New Access Key”.
Make sure to download the CSV file that contains your new access key and secret key. You’ll need these in the next step.
Next, head over to Shopify and install the Amazon Reviews app. Once it’s installed, open the app and click on the “Settings” tab. On this page, you’ll need to enter your AWS access key and secret key from earlier.
Now that you’ve connected your AWS account with the app, it’s time to start importing reviews! Go back to the “Reviews” tab in the app and click on “Import Reviews”. On this page, you can choose which product you want to import reviews for, as well as how many reviews you want to import.
Once you’ve made your selections, click “Import”. The app will then start importing reviews from Amazon into your Shopify store!
As you can see, it is possible to import Amazon reviews into Shopify. However, it does require a bit of set-up beforehand. By following the steps above, though, you can easily get all of your Amazon reviews imported into your Shopify store in no time.
