If you’re a designer, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of or use Figma. Figma is a vector graphic design application with capabilities similar to Illustrator, Sketch, and Adobe XD. It’s gained popularity in recent years for its user-friendly interface and collaborative features.

One of its key features is the ability to export designs into code, which is why we’re going to focus on that today. The question we’re going to answer is: can you import Figma into After Effects?

The answer is yes! You can import Figma files into After Effects.

To do this, simply go to File > Import > Import File and select the Figma file you want to import. Once the file is imported, you’ll be able to use all of the layers and vector graphics in your design in After Effects.

PRO TIP: There is no official way to import Figma files into After Effects, and there are no plans to add this feature in the future. However, there are some workarounds that allow you to import your Figma designs into After Effects. These workarounds are not supported by Figma or Adobe, and may not work with all file types or versions. Use them at your own risk.

Figma is a powerful design tool, and being able to use your designs in After Effects opens up a lot of possibilities for creating dynamic animations and videos. So if you’re looking to add some extra flair to your After Effects projects, give it a try!
