Adobe Photoshop is a widely used program for crafting layouts, graphics, logos, illustrations, and photos. You can buy Photoshop as part of Adobe Creative Cloud for a monthly fee, or you can purchase a perpetual license for a one-time fee.
So, can you still just buy Photoshop outright?
The answer is yes and no. Adobe still sells Creative Suite 6 (CS6), which includes Photoshop, but it’s no longer updated with new features.
If you need the latest and greatest version of Photoshop, then you’ll have to pay for a Creative Cloud subscription. However, if you don’t need the latest version, then you can save some money by buying CS6.
Adobe offers two different ways to buy Photoshop CS6: a monthly subscription or a one-time payment. The monthly subscription costs $9.99 per month and includes all of Adobe’s creative apps, including Photoshop. The one-time payment option for CS6 is $699.00.
If you decide to buy a Creative Cloud subscription instead of CS6, then you’ll have to pay $19.99 per month for the first year. After the first year, the price goes up to $29.99 per month. However, with a Creative Cloud subscription, you’ll always have access to the latest versions of all of Adobe’s creative apps.
