Can You Make a Folder a Page in Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:44 am

Squarespace is a platform that allows users to create websites and online stores. It offers a variety of templates and designs that can be customized to suit the needs of the user.

One of the features of Squarespace is the ability to add pages to a website. A page can be used to display information about a product or service, or it can be used to provide information about the company or individual who owns the website.

There is no limit to the number of pages that can be added to a Squarespace website. However, each page must be assigned a unique URL. This means that if you want to add a page to your Squarespace website, you will need to create a new folder for it.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that making a folder a page in Squarespace can result in problems with your website. This is because Squarespace automatically generates pages based on the hierarchy of your website, and if you change this hierarchy, it can cause problems with how your pages are displayed.

To create a new folder, click on the “+” icon in the left sidebar and select “Folder.” Give your folder a name and then click “Create.” Once your folder has been created, you can add pages to it by clicking on the “+” icon and selecting “Page.”

When you add a page to a Squarespace website, you have the option of making it a sub-page of an existing page. This is done by selecting the “Parent Page” drop-down menu when adding a new page and choosing the page that you want to be its parent. If you do not want to make your new page a sub-page, simply leave the “Parent Page” drop-down menu set to “None.”

Once you have added your new page, you can begin adding content to it. To do this, click on the “Edit” button in the top-right corner of the page. This will open up the Squarespace editor, which will allow you to add text, images, and other media to your page.

Once you have finished adding content to your page, click on the “Save” button in the top-left corner of the editor. This will save your changes and publish your new page.
