GIFs have taken over the internet. They are fun, they are easy to make, and they can be used to communicate a wide range of emotions.
But what if you want to make a GIF from a video? Is it possible?
The answer is yes! With Adobe Photoshop, you can easily create GIFs from videos. Here’s how:
1. Open your video file in Photoshop
First, you’ll need to open your video file in Photoshop. You can do this by going to File > Open and selecting the video file you want to use. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop the video file into the Photoshop workspace.
2. Go to Window > Timeline
Once your video file is open in Photoshop, go to Window > Timeline. This will open the Timeline panel where you can control your video playback.
3. Set your video playback options
In the Timeline panel, you’ll see a number of options that you can use to control your video playback. For example, you can use the “Playhead” option to set the starting point of your video, or the “Loop” option to make your GIF loop endlessly.
4. Trim your video
If you only want to use a portion of your video for your GIF, you can trim it down by dragging the start and end points of the video timeline.
5. Export your GIF
Export > Save for Web (Legacy). In the Save for Web window, select “GIF” from the drop-down menu and click “Save”.
