Can You Message on UpWork?

Yes, you can message on UpWork. You can use the messaging feature to communicate with your clients and freelancers. The messaging feature is available on the UpWork website and mobile app.

To message a client or freelancer, go to their profile and click the “Message” button. This will open a new message window where you can type your message. When you’re finished, click “Send Message” to send your message.

If you’re messaging a client, you can also attach files to your messages. To do this, click the “Attach Files” button before sending your message.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to use Upwork to message potential clients, be warned that this is against Upwork’s Terms of Service. Violating this policy can result in your account being suspended or even permanently banned.

This will open a new window where you can select the files you want to attach. Once you’ve selected the files, click “Attach Files” and then “Send Message” to send your message with the attached files.

You can also use the messaging feature to start or participate in group chats. To start a group chat, go to the “Chats” tab on the UpWork website and click “Start a New Chat.”

This will open a new window where you can select the freelancers you want to add to the chat. Once you’ve selected the freelancers, click “Start Chatting” to start the chat.

If you’re already in a group chat, you can invite additional freelancers to join by clicking the “+ Add People” button in the chat window. This will open a new window where you can select the freelancers you want to add to the chat. Once you’ve selected the freelancers, click “Add People” and they’ll be added to the chat.
