Can You Not Buy Photoshop Anymore?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:56 pm

As of late 2019, Adobe Photoshop is no longer available for purchase as a standalone product. You can only get it now as part of Adobe Creative Cloud.

This change has caused some confusion and consternation among users, especially those who had been using Photoshop for years and were accustomed to buying it outright.

PRO TIP: Can You Not Buy Photoshop Anymore?

As of October 2020, Adobe no longer sells Photoshop as a stand-alone product. The only way to get Photoshop now is by subscribing to the Adobe Creative Cloud.

The good news is that you can still use Photoshop if you’re a Creative Cloud subscriber. The bad news is that the subscription is now the only way to get Photoshop, and it’s not cheap.

If you’re not interested in paying for a Creative Cloud subscription, there are some alternative programs out there that you can use. They might not be as comprehensive as Photoshop, but they’ll still allow you to do some basic image editing.

Conclusion:

So, yes – you can still use Photoshop if you’re willing to pay for a Creative Cloud subscription. However, if you’re not interested in paying for a subscription, there are some alternative programs available that will allow you to do basic image editing.
