If you’re looking to start selling online, you’ve probably considered using Wix. Wix is a popular website builder that allows you to create a website without any programming knowledge. It’s easy to use and has a lot of features that make it a great choice for small businesses.
One of the features that Wix offers is the ability to accept payments. You can choose to accept payments through PayPal, Stripe, or Authorize.net. You can also choose to offer Afterpay as a payment option.
Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.
Afterpay is a popular payment option in Australia and New Zealand. It allows customers to pay for their purchase over four equal installments, interest-free. This can be a great option for customers who don’t have the cash on hand to pay for their purchase outright.
Unfortunately, Wix does not currently offer Afterpay as a payment option. However, there are a few workarounds that you can use to accept Afterpay payments on your Wix website.
If you are planning to offer Afterpay as a payment option on your Wix website, please be aware that there are some potential risks involved.
Firstly, Afterpay is not available in all countries, so you will need to check that it is available in your country before offering it as a payment option. Secondly, Afterpay is a new service and as such there are some concerns about its reliability. There have been reports of people not being able to use Afterpay to make payments, or of payments not being processed correctly.
If you do decide to offer Afterpay on your Wix website, we recommend that you only offer it as a payment option for items that are in stock and ready to be shipped immediately. This way, if there are any problems with the payment being processed, your customers will not be left waiting for their order.
One workaround is to use a third-party payment processor that offers Afterpay as a payment option. Stripe is one such processor.
You can sign up for a Stripe account and then add Stripe as a payment method to your Wix website. When customers go to checkout, they’ll be able to choose Afterpay as their payment method.
Another workaround is to use a service like Shopify Payments. Shopify Payments allows you to accept Afterpay payments on your Shopify store.
You can then connect your Shopify store to your Wix website using an app called Shopify Widgets. This will add your Shopify products and checkout page to your Wix website.
Unfortunately, neither of these workarounds is ideal. They both require you to sign up for another service and add additional code to your website. If you’re looking for a simpler solution, you’ll need to wait until Wix offers Afterpay as a native payment option.
