Creating an image with text in Canva is easy. First, you’ll need to create a new design and choose the “Custom Dimensions” option.
Then, enter the width and height you want your image to be. We recommend using an image that’s at least 600 pixels wide so it looks good on retina displays and doesn’t take too long to load.
Next, select the “Background” tab from the left-hand menu and choose a color or pattern for your background. If you want to add an image as your background, click the “Uploads” tab and upload the image from your computer. Once your background is set, it’s time to start adding elements to your design.

Once you have your headline added, it’s time to start adding some body copy. Click on the “Add Paragraph” button and start typing out your text. Again, you can change the font, color and size of your text by clicking on the “Text Styles” button in the top toolbar.
When you’re finished adding text, you can add other elements like shapes, lines or images by clicking on them in the “Elements” tab. Once you have all of your elements added, it’s time to save your design.
Click on the “File” menu in the top toolbar and choose either “Download as Image” or “Export as Image.” If you choose “Download as Image,” you can save your design as a PNG or JPG file on your computer. If you choose “Export as Image,” you can save your design as a PNG file on Google Drive or Dropbox.
