Can You Run Ads on Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:20 am

Yes, you can run ads on Squarespace. You can use Google Adsense, which is a program that allows you to place ads on your website. You can also use other ad networks, such as AdRoll or Media.net. There are a few things to keep in mind when placing ads on your Squarespace website.

First, you’ll need to create a separate account with each ad network. Second, you’ll need to add code to your Squarespace website. And third, you may need to upgrade your Squarespace plan if you want to run more than one ad on your website.

Google Adsense

Google Adsense is a program that allows you to place ads on your website. You can use Adsense with Squarespace by creating a separate account with Google and adding code to your Squarespace website.

Once you’ve created an account with Google, you can log in and get started. To add code to your Squarespace website, go to the Settings tab, click Advanced, and then click Code Injection. In the Header Code box, paste your Google Adsense code.

AdRoll or Media.net

AdRoll and Media.net are both ad networks that allow you to place ads on your website. You can use either of these networks with Squarespace by creating a separate account and adding code to your Squarespace website.

To add code to your Squarespace website, go to the Settings tab, click Advanced, and then click Code Injection. In the Header Code box, paste your AdRoll or Media.net code.

Squarespace Plans

If you want to run more than one ad on your Squarespace website, you’ll need to upgrade your plan. The Basic plan only allows one ad per page, while the Business and Commerce plans allow up to three ads per page.

To upgrade your plan, go to the Billing & Account tab and click Upgrade Plan. From there, you can choose the plan that’s right for you.

PRO TIP: While you can technically run ads on Squarespace, we do not recommend it. Ads can slow down your site and make the user experience less than ideal. Additionally, they can be difficult to manage and control. If you do decide to run ads on Squarespace, we suggest working with a professional to ensure that everything is set up correctly.
