Can You See View History on Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 11:42 pm

View history is one of the most important features of Figma. It allows you to see who made what changes to the design, and when they made them. This is crucial for keeping track of design progress, and for preventing design regressions.

Unfortunately, view history is not available on Figma’s free tier. Only Figma Pro users can access this feature.

This is a huge downside of the free tier, and it’s one of the main reasons why I decided to upgrade to Pro.

PRO TIP: Figma is a great tool for design collaboration, but one thing to be aware of is that your view history is public by default. This means that anyone you’re working with can see what you’ve been looking at, which could be sensitive information. To change this, go to your account settings and change the privacy setting for view history to “Private”.

If you’re a free user and you need to access view history, your only option is to upgrade to Pro. There is no workaround. I wish Figma would make this feature available to free users, but for now, it’s only available to Pro users.

Conclusion:

View history is a crucial feature of Figma, but it’s only available to Pro users. If you’re a free user and you need to access view history, your only option is to upgrade to Pro.
