There are a few different ways that you can vectorize an image in Figma. One way is to use the Trace tool, which will automatically trace your image and create a vector shape. Another way is to use the Pen tool to manually draw your own vector shapes.

If you’re using the Trace tool, you’ll first need to upload your image to Figma. Once it’s uploaded, you can select it and then click the Trace button in the toolbar. Figma will automatically trace the outlines of your image and create a vector shape.

PRO TIP: If you are planning on vectorizing an image in Figma, be aware that this process can be time-consuming and may not produce the results you expect. Vectorizing an image can often result in distortion and loss of detail, so it is important to be sure that this is the best method for achieving the look you want.

If you’re using the Pen tool, you’ll need to draw your own vector shapes. To do this, click on the Pen tool in the toolbar and then click on the starting point of your shape. Click on additional points to add them to your shape, and then click on the first point again to close the shape.

Once you have your vector shape, you can style it however you want. You can change the fill color, stroke color, stroke width, etc. You can also add effects like shadows or gradients.

So, can you vectorize an image in Figma? Yes, you can! Whether you use the Trace tool or the Pen tool, it’s easy to create beautiful vector shapes in Figma.
