Can’t See Transform Controls Photoshop?

Last updated on March 22, 2023 @ 3:50 pm

If you’re new to Photoshop, you may not know how to access the Transform controls. Here’s a quick guide on where to find them and how to use them.

The Transform controls in Photoshop are located in the top menu bar, under the Edit menu. To access them, simply click on the Edit menu and then select Transform from the drop-down list.

NOTE: You can also simply use the “Ctrl+T” keyboard shortcut to access the Transform Tool.

Once you have the Transform menu open, you will see a variety of different options that you can use to modify your image. For example, you can use the Scale option to change the size of your image, or the Rotate option to rotate it.

PRO TIP: If you are having trouble seeing the transform controls in Photoshop, it is likely because your Photoshop preferences are set to display “Show Transformation Controls” for “Use Legacy Free Transform”. To fix this, go to Photoshop preferences (Edit > Preferences), select “General” from the left column, and uncheck the “Use Legacy Free Transform” option.

To use any of these options, simply click on the one you want to use and then drag the mouse cursor over the image’s pill handles. As you do this, you’ll see the changes being made in real-time.

Once you’re happy with the changes, simply click on the Apply button that looks like a check icon and they will be applied to your image.
