Do DNS records transfer with domain GoDaddy?

Last updated on December 18, 2022 @ 2:35 pm

Domain name system (DNS) records are the basic information that helps a computer find a specific website. When you type in a website address, your computer looks up the DNS record for that website.

A DNS record is a set of information that tells your computer where to find a website. A DNS record typically includes the website’s name, the IP address of the website’s server, and the time zone that the website is in.domain.com

1. GoDaddy is the world’s largest domain name registrar and provides a variety of DNS services.

2. When you purchase a domain name from GoDaddy, the company will provide you with a DNS hosting account.

This account allows you to manage your own DNS records and to have DNS hosted by GoDaddy.

3. GoDaddy does not provide a transfer service for domain names.

When you change your domain name with GoDaddy, the company will redirect your traffic to the new domain name.

4. If you want to transfer your domain name to another registrar, you will have to go through the domain name’s registrar.

5. GoDaddy does not provide a DNS transfer service.

PRO TIP: There is no guarantee that DNS records will transfer when a domain is transferred to GoDaddy. Be sure to check with your current registrar to see if they offer a DNS transfer service to avoid any potential disruptions to your website.
