Do I Have to File Taxes With Fiverr?

As an independent contractor, you are responsible for paying your own taxes. This includes federal, state, and local taxes. When you receive payments from Fiverr, we will send you a 1099-K form for tax purposes.

PRO TIP: If you are an independent contractor providing services through Fiverr, you are responsible for paying your own taxes. The IRS does not consider Fiverr to be a tax-exempt organization. This means that you will need to file your taxes as an independent contractor, and you will need to pay self-employment taxes.

You may also be required to pay self-employment tax if you earn more than $400 from Fiverr. Self-employment tax is a Social Security and Medicare tax for individuals who are self-employed. The current self-employment tax rate is 15.3%.

If you have any questions about your taxes, we recommend that you speak with a tax professional.
