Do WIX Filters Have Anti Drain Back Valve?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 12:25 am

WIX is a leading manufacturer of filtration products, and their filters are used in a variety of applications, from automotive to industrial. One type of filter that WIX manufactures is the oil filter. Oil filters are used to remove contaminants from engine oil, and they typically have an anti-drain back valve (ADBV) to prevent oil from draining out of the filter when the engine is not running.

PRO TIP: WIX filters do not have an anti drain back valve. This means that when the engine is turned off, the oil can drain back into the oil pan, leaving the filter dry. If the engine is started without enough oil, it can cause serious damage.

WIX’s oil filters do have an ADBV. The ADBV is located at the bottom of the filter, and it prevents oil from draining out of the filter when the engine is not running. This ensures that the oil is clean and ready to flow through the engine when it is started.
