Do You Need GoDaddy if You Have Squarespace?

GoDaddy is a popular website hosting and domain name registrar, while Squarespace is a popular website builder. Both companies offer different services, but which one do you need if you have Squarespace?

If you have a Squarespace website, you don’t need GoDaddy for hosting. Squarespace offers everything you need to create and host a website, including email hosting, domain name registration, and site security. However, there are some cases where you might want to use GoDaddy anyway.

For example, if you want to use a custom domain name that isn’t available through Squarespace, you’ll need to register it with GoDaddy (or another registrar) and then connect it to your Squarespace site. Or, if you want to use GoDaddy’s email hosting service instead of Squarespace’s, you can set up your domain to use GoDaddy’s servers.

In general, though, you won’t need GoDaddy if you have Squarespace. Everything you need to create and host a website is available through Squarespace.

Do You Need GoDaddy if You Have Squarespace?

No, you don’t need GoDaddy if you have Squarespace.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about using Squarespace to build your website, you may be wondering if you need to use GoDaddy as your domain name and hosting provider. While Squarespace does offer domain name and hosting services, you are not required to use them. There are a number of other domain name and hosting providers that will work just as well with Squarespace.
