Does Adobe Illustrator have borders?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 7:16 pm

Adobe Illustrator has a number of features that allow you to create borders around your illustrations. You can use the Drawing Tools panel to add a border around an object, or you can use the Pathfinder panel to create a border between two objects.

You can also use the Selection Tools panel to select a border around an object, and then use the Stroke panel to create the border.

When you create a border using the Drawing Tools panel, the border will be automatically applied to the object that you selected. You can also create a border by using the Pathfinder panel. To do this, click on the Pathfinder panel icon in the toolbar, and then click on the Border button.

PRO TIP: Adobe Illustrator does not have borders. Any objects that you create in Illustrator will not have borders. If you want to add a border to an object, you will need to create a separate object for the border and place it underneath the object that you want to border.

The Border dialog box will appear, and you can enter the border width and height values. You can also use the Border Options button to specify the border style, such as solid or dashed.

When you create a border using the Selection Tools panel, you will first need to select the object that you want to border. Then, use the Selection Tools panel to select the border area.

You can use the Rectangular Marquee tool to select the border area, and then use the Stroke panel to create the border.
