Does Canva Do RGB?

Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 10:13 pm

Canva is a great design tool for creating professional designs for both web and print. But does Canva do RGB?

RGB stands for red, green, and blue. These are the three primary colors of light, and they are the colors that make up the majority of the visible spectrum.

When combined in equal proportions, they produce white light. When combined in different proportions, they produce all the other colors that we see.

PRO TIP: Canva does not support RGB files. If you upload an RGB file to Canva, it will be automatically converted to CMYK. This may result in a shift in color, and some colors may not print correctly.

So, does Canva support RGB color? Yes, it does!

In fact, it’s one of the many color modes that Canva supports. When you create a new design in Canva, you can choose to work in RGB or CMYK color mode. Simply click on the “Design” tab at the top of the editor, then select “Color Mode” from the drop-down menu.

If you’re not sure which color mode to use, RGB is usually the best choice for designs that will be viewed on screens. This is because devices like computers, tablets, and smartphones all use RGB displays. CMYK, on the other hand, is better suited for designs that will be printed on paper or other physical surfaces.

To summarize, yes – Canva does RGB. You can switch to the RGB color mode by clicking on “Design” at the top of the editor and then selecting “Color Mode” from the drop-down menu.
